Blood Orange Slushy
The authors of 400 Blender Cocktails, Andrew Chase, Alison Kent and Nicole Young, say blending cocktails isn’t a science and shouldn’t be made into an art ~ it’s just plain fun! This one is perfect for a Halloween party!
1/2 cup freshly squeezed blood orange juice 125 mL
2 oz Campari 50 mL
3 ice cubes
1 slice blood orange or twist orange rind
1. In blender, on high speed, blend orange juice, Campari and ice until slushy.
2. Pour into an old-fashioned glass and garnish with orange slice or twist. TIP: If blood oranges are out of season, use regular orange juice or orange-tangerine juice and add 2 tsp (10 mL) grenadine.
