Debra K. Katzman
Dr. Debra Katzman is a Professor of Pediatrics, Head of the Division of Adolescent Medicine, Department of Pediatrics and University of Toronto (UofT), Medical Director of the Eating Disorders Program at the Hospital for Sick Children and Senior Associate Scientist at the Research Institute at the Hospital for Sick Children. In addition, she holds academic cross appointments as an Associate Member in the Department of Human Development and Applied Psychology, Ontario Institute for Studies in Education and is a Member of the Institute of Medicine at the UofT.
Debra is the President of the Academy for Eating Disorders (AED), the is treasurer and president-elect for the AED, a Fellow of the Society for Adolescent Medicine and AED, and the Chair of Specialty Committee for Adolescent Medicine at the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada. The focus of Debra’s research program has been to study and understand the unique medical complications and developmental issues in children and adolescent with eating disorders.
