Jeremy Friedman
Jeremy Friedman hails from Cape Town, South Africa where he attended medical school. He moved to Canada and completed his residency training at the Hospital for Sick Children in 1994. Since then he has worked as a pediatrician at ‘Sickkids’ and has been head of Pediatric Medicine since 2004. He has won numerous awards for his teaching, clinical care and humanitarianism.
Jeremy has published more than 50 manuscripts in peer reviewed journals on pediatric topics and has sat on a number of editorial boards for pediatric journals in Canada and the USA. He is an associate editor of the Canadian Pediatric Society (CPS) journal and also chairs the annual CPS conference. He has edited or co-edited two pediatric textbooks and four bestselling books for parents, most recently Canada’s Baby Care Book and Canada’s Toddler Care Book. He lives in Toronto with his wife and two young children.
