Laz Klein

Dr. Laz Klein, MD, MSc, FRCS(C), Staff Surgeon, Humber River Regional Hospital, Assistant Professor, Department of Surgery, University of Toronto, completed the residency program in General Surgery at the University of Toronto (U of T). He then went on to complete fellowship level training at U of T in advanced Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS).

Dr. Klein converted the existing bariatric program from an "open" program to a "laparoscopic" program at Humber River Regional Hospital. He is a faculty member of U of T’s MIS fellowship training program. He is Assistant Professor, Department of Surgery, and is primarily interested in the application of minimally invasive techniques to intra-abdominal pathology such as gastric and colorectal cancer, benign esophageal disease, adrenal surgery and abdominal wall hernias.
