Chef Olivier Guiriec is native of Nantes, France. He started his career in 1986 when he began his culinary training in cuisine and pâtisserie under the supervision of Chef Jean-Claude Pastoureau, and obtained the culinary teaching diploma, Brevet de Maîtrise, in 1995.
Olivier's career path led him to Canada in 1995 where he continued to seek for knowledge in the gastronomic world. Having an inclination for international cuisine, he is particularly interested in the seasonal local products. Olivier possess a bachelor of education and is passionate of his profession as a teacher and a chef.
Olivier started his teaching career in Le Cordon Bleu in Ottawa and then moved on to teach, in 2004, at the Institut de Tourisme et d’Hôtellerie du Québec (ITHQ) in Montreal.
Gastronomy being in constant evolution, Olivier is always on the look out for new trends and demands. He tries to acquire the maximum of knowledge to provide students with the benefit of his extensive knowledge throughout their training in the kitchen. Olivier is based in Quebec.
