Shelly K. Weiss

Shelly K. Weiss is a pediatric neurologist with expertise in the areas of clinical, education and research in pediatric sleep disorders. She is interested in educational initiatives for physicians and allied health professionals and has had multiple local, national and international invitations to present in the area of child neurology and pediatric sleep disorders. Shelly has developed treatment strategies for pediatric insomnia for the University of Alberta, the Canadian Sleep Society as well as the Autism Treatment Network.

Her research interests are in pediatric sleep; particularly in children with neurologic disorders. Shelly has been the Residency Program Director for Pediatric Neurology at the University of Toronto for the past eight years. She is the Director of Faculty Development for the Dept. of Pediatrics and HSC (as of July 2010), the President-elect of the Canadian Sleep Society, and will be the President for a three year term as of September 2011.
