Monkey Bread

April 13, 2018

Savory monkey bread? Absolutely! A combination of butter, garlic and two kinds of cheese launches this easy pull-apart bread into a new stratosphere of deliciousness.

Ingredients Makes 2 servings

2 tbsp butter, melted 30 mL
1⁄4 tsp garlic powder 1 mL
1⁄3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese 75 mL

1 small can (6 oz/175 g) refrigerated dinner biscuits 1
1⁄2 cup shredded sharp (old) Cheddar cheese 125 mL

  • Preheat air fryer to 360°F (180°C)
  • 6-inch (15 cm) round metal cake pan, sprayed with nonstick cooking spray
  1. In a small shallow dish, stir together butter and garlic powder.
  2. Spread Parmesan cheese in another shallow dish.
  3. Remove dough from packaging and separate into biscuits. Cut each biscuit into quarters.
  4. Dip each dough piece in butter mixture and then in Parmesan, pressing gently to adhere. Arrange dough pieces in prepared pan, overlapping if needed. Drizzle any remaining butter mixture over dough and sprinkle with Cheddar cheese and any remaining Parmesan cheese.
  5. Place pan in air fryer basket. Air-fry for 18 to 23 minutes or until golden brown. Transfer pan to a wire rack and let cool for at least 10 minutes. Run knife around edge of pan to loosen. Serve immediately.
