Very Cherry Smoothie

Making smoothies with milk, yogurt, tofu or fortified soy milk is a good way to add bone-building calcium and protein to your diet. And, it makes for a delicious, healthy breakfast or wonderfully refreshing afternoon pick-me-up!

Ingredients Makes 1

1 can (12 oz /375 mL) pitted cherries in juice 1
1⁄2 cup cherry-flavored or plain yogurt 125 mL
1⁄4 cup frozen raspberries 50 mL
4 frozen yogurt or skim milk cubes 4

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine cherries with juice, yogurt, raspberries and yogurt cubes. Secure lid and process using the chop or pulse function until smooth.
Milk may be frozen in ice-cube trays, and the crushed cubes can be used in smoothies.
