Danielle Cook

Danielle Cook, MS, RD, CDE has a Master’s Degree in Nutrition and Food Science, and has a diverse background in the field of nutrition. She has worked as an inpatient Clinical Dietitian, as a Nutrition Support Specialist (specializing in tube feedings and intravenous feedings), and a Diabetes Educator/Dietitian in an outpatient setting.

Danielle also teaches classes at the university level including Nutrition, Upper Level Metabolism, Environmental and World Hunger, Sports Nutrition, Nutrition Through the Lifecycle, and graduate level Dietetics. In addition to her nutrition background, she also worked as a Personal Trainer for 9 years, and studied exercise physiology.

Throughout the past 6 years, Danielle has studied Functional Medicine extensively. She has attended several trainings including the Institute of Functional Medicine’s (IFM) Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice (AFMCP), IFM GI Advanced Practice Module, IFM Annual Conference, The Center for Mind-Body Medicine Mind Body Medicine Training, and several other integrative medicine conferences. Danielle is now specializing in functional, preventative nutrition and working on her Doctor of Health Science (D.H.S) in Integrative Healthcare.

Danielle currently serves as the Director of Integrative Medicine at Vital Health Institute in Los Gatos, CA. She resides in Santa Cruz, CA.
